All rentals are subject to location, eligibility and availability.

Hirer / Driver basic eligibility criteria is as follows:

  • You must be aged between 25-65*
  • Have held a full UK DVLA driving licence for at least 3* years
  • Possess an appropriate Taxi / Private Hire Licence*
  • Have minimum 2* years UK residence
  • Have no more than 6* penalty points in the last 3* years for minor convictions
  • Have no major convictions in the last 5* years
  • Have no disqualification from driving in the last 5* years
  • We may also sign you up at your home address before we deliver the vehicle as part of ID verification.

*These criteria may differ from location to location. We will also perform an appropriate licence check with the DVLA, your local licensing authority and anti-fraud agencies. We and / or our insurance underwriters reserve the right to refuse service at any time without giving reason or notice. Further T&C’s apply.

What is the minimum rental period?

Our minimum rental period is 4 weeks and continues on a rolling week-to-week contract. We require only 1 weeks’ notice when you wish to return the car.

Our Rent to Buy scheme is based on a 3 year plan. After which, you’ll own the car outright with no balloon payment.

What do I need to join you?

Provided you’ve passed our basic eligibility criteria, you’ll need:

  • First Weeks Rent plus £200 Deposit for Rentals
  • £250 / £500 Down Payment for Rent to Buy
  • Variable Deposit (typically £999) for Help to Buy
  • Taxi / Private Hire Licence and Badge
  • DVLA Photocard Licence
  • National Insurance Number
  • Recent Utility Bill or Bank Statement (must match DVLA address)

You’ll need at least 3 months Taxi or Private Hire driving experience to be eligible for our Rent To Buy scheme.

Are there any credit checks?

Not for Rentals or Rent to Buy..

Even if you have poor credit history, we are only interested in your present. If you can demonstrate the ability to make and keep up with weekly payments, we’d be happy to help you.

A credit check is necessary for our Help to Buy scheme.

Are there any mileage restrictions?

Rentals – The weekly allowance is 850 miles with a £0.20p per mile over limit charge.

Rent to Buy – The weekly allowance is 800 miles with a £0.20p per mile over limit charge however with a Rent to Buy car, if you exceed the limit you’ll be charged on a monthly basis but your contract length will be shortened meaning you’ll own the car quicker! You won’t pay more than the agreed price set out in the contract.

Help to Buy – There are no mileage limits or restrictions!

Is Insurance included?

Rentals – Fully Comprehensive ‘Hire and Reward’ cover included as standard. You are welcome use the car for social, domestic and pleasure purposes too!

Rent to Buy – Insurance is optional. Cover can be provided subject to eligibility, terms and conditions.

Help to Buy – Insurance cover is not provided.

What is the Insurance Policy Excess?

If we’ve provided cover, usually a maximum of £500 depending on the vehicle and your circumstances but this will be clearly stated on your rental agreement.

Where do I collect and return the car?

Instead of having to collect your rental from us, we’ll deliver the car to you and drop you home upon it’s return! How’s that for service?!

What is the minimum age to drive?

You have to be at least 25 years old.

I live outside where you operate. Can you help?

In certain cases we may be able to help depending on your location (e.g. if you resided just outside our normal operating boundaries). If this is the case, please get in touch for a chat to see if we can help.

Can I order a Rent to Buy car with different specification to the models you offer?

Unfortunately not. To ensure a continuous supply from the car manufacturers, we place orders months in advance so the models we offer cannot deviate.

Can I order a Help to Buy car with different specification to the models you offer?

Absolutely! Our Help to Buy Scheme is as unique as you are. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements. We’re sure we can help you find exactly what you are looking for.

What happens when a Service is due?

For Rental and Rent to Buy customers – When your car requires a service, just visit the SERVICE CENTRE section of this website, fill in your details and a service advisor will be in touch within 48 hours to confirm your booking. It’s as simple as that!

Do you offer any 'prestige' vehicles, such as Mercedes-Benz?

What happens in the event of an accident or breakdown?

If we’ve provided cover, an assistance pack containing such information is located in the car glovebox. This information is also available in our DRIVER SUPPORT section.

I want to work with a private hire company, who handles the paperwork?

We can either supply you with copies of the relevant vehicle documentation (licence, insurance, MOT, etc) or the company you intend to work with on your behalf so you can get to work in the soonest of time.

What happens if I want to cancel my Rent to Buy Contract?

After 3 months you can cancel with 4 weeks notice but you will lose all your rental payments up to that point. Your mileage must not exceed the 800 miles per week limit up to the date of cancellation. If it does, you will be liable for the excess mileage charges.

What happens if I want to cancel my Rent to Buy Contract having had a 'fault' accident?

If you had a fault accident whilst in a Rent to Buy Contract and wish to cancel, you will be liable for the full insurance premium.

I operate a taxi / private hire business. Can I rent vehicles from you to 'sub-rent' to my drivers?

We are pleased to announce we are now able to offer this facility subject to terms and conditions. As this works a little differently to a standard rental, it’s best to contact us to discuss your requirements so we can help you choose the best option to suit your business.
